Be kind to yourself - Muniba Mazari

Typically I do start my day with the gratitude that I'm still alive. This lesson I learned from this beautiful woman who suffered yet she still managed to turn her life around despite adversity.

Sometimes we are overwhelmed by the troubles that come our way as if our life is spiraling down to the drain. It seems like we are caught in a disastrous situation and we are to blame for the bad decision. During this time we often become too critical in ourselves to the point of an intentionally hurting ourselves.

In times like these, we should take a deep breath and be more gentle with ourselves and our confidence.

Remember this reality:

1. Adversity is a part of life. We all have to face it as we live an imperfect life.

2. Embrace your imperfections. We are imperfect beings and we learn as we go along. These are called success taxes. A term I heard from Dean Graziosi. You have to own your mistake and do something to find a remedy to make it right.

3. Be kind to yourself. If you are kind to yourself, you can be kinder to others. Kindness will ripple like a stone in a pond of still water. Eventually, our world will be a little more kind and more wonderful place to live in.

4. Be grateful that we are still alive. Life is a gift and let's not waste it over petty and minor setbacks.

May peace be with you.
