In my own philosophical view, true happiness can be defined us a conglomerate of mental/ psychological, spiritual and financial success. I believe everyone can achieve this state of happiness thru a change in mindset. This mindset involves a process of reprogramming our “can’t do attitude” or self-defeating prophecy which is deeply ingrained since our childhood and turning it into “CAN DO attitude”. It will also involve strengthening and reinforcing our financial IQ. I believe that “the Great Omnipotent” / GOD has a mission for all of us. He wants to bless us so we can be a blessing for others, hence to carry out our spiritual mission in this life, we have to be Financially Independent and capable.
In my path towards my own personal mission, I have to relearn and re-program a lot of my spiritual, personal and financial philosophies. It would’ve been very difficult for me if not for great mentors like my folks, Bo Sanchez, Robert Kiyosaki, Warren Buffet, Dean Pax Lapid, Edward Lee, Dalai Lama, Mario Singh, Philippine tycoons and etc.
I’m a doctor by profession but we were never been taught of financial IQ in medical school. Thankfully I studied in a Chinese high school that would expose me to a great deal of accounting, math, to traditional Chinese business philosophies and challenge me to learn balance sheet and ledgers. Having great mentors humbled me and made me realize that my financial know-how was just a tip of the financial iceberg. Another advantage of having great mentors is just like having your own shortcut to success. Their guidance will give you the technology but the execution is up to you.
My personal challenge is to increase the financial IQ of financial novices towards improving their lives thru my own personal stories and reflections.
