Inflation down 5.1%

Writer's picture: Doc MikeDoc Mike

A lower inflation rate of 5.1% was a brilliant way to end the year. This was lower than most economist's expectation. Historically, December was almost higher than November because of the increase people generally have more money to burn during this season. We have not included the factor of the typhoon which hit us last December.

Factors that affected the lowering of the headline inflation includes lowering of the price of food like rice, global oil and lower CPI by 0.4%. If everything goes well, we are predicting a continuous easing on the inflation rate to 3-4% due to the contribution of the full effect of fiscal policy and reactive monetary policy.

Hopefully, we gave you a sensible point of view to end your fears of a runaway inflation and economic hyperbole.

God bless and good luck,
